Secret Garden Woodcraft is a newly formed company  we are based in the lovely county of Norfolk. Before I formed Secret Garden Woodcraft I worked in computers but things changed in my life and I realised that I was not happy in this line of work anymore. My Father was a great carpenter and I hope I have inherited some of his skill and hope that during years of watching him at his work I have picked up a few tricks of the trade. I have always loved wildlife and nature from when I was a child and if you could not find me it would be because I was in a pond or canal somewhere looking for frogs or snakes!! I have kept Tortoises for over 30 years along with various lizards , amphibians ,raised some baby hedgehogs and countless other animals, we have also adopted 13 ex battery hens so we have a full house, but it gives me a chance to try out my new designs on various volunteers. The company is run by myself with the help of my wife Clare and with no help from our two cats (Rum & Sherry). The company is run from a small workshop in the garden of my cottage, and I put 100% into everything that secret garden woodcraft make,if customers and their fury friends (or scaly) are happy with their purchase then I am happy too.There is an awful lot of imported wildlife and pet housing for sale, you have only got to look in Argos or Homebase for that and most of it is flat pack, all of Secret Garden Woodcraft products are fully assembled and made from pine, most of this is Redwood (Pinus Sylvestris) this is a furniture grade pine, it costs more but it out lasts white wood by a long shot.If you think that a flat pack item is cheaper in the long term think again as you should have years of use from Secret Garden Woodcraft items as opposed to one winter with shop bought flat packs. We are more than happy to quote for any item you don't see on the website and if you wish to pick up anything as opposed to having it shipped and save on the delivery charge then that is fine also.
